I’ve been sewing with a Pfaff 2027 Classic Style Quilt almost daily since I bought it new in 1998. It’s been immensely reliable and well behaved. It is electronic, has IDT, a nice assortment of feet and some useful stitch patterns for quilting and garment sewing. To put the needle up or down, you tap on the foot pedal. I love that.
What was the last Pfaff machine made in Germany?
I think my Pfaff 7570 was the last model made in Germany and has the steel body. Bought as a dealer demo in 1982, it has been serviced twice for a new battery and nothing else. Still my main machine. My earlier 7550 was the same machine but without the embroidery unit and functionality.
