The falls are something of a hidden gem, located in the secluded Goit Stock Wood on the edge of the South Pennines. The walk starts just to the south of Harden at a parking area by Harden Lane and Mill Hill Top. From here you can pick up footpaths heading east through Goit Stock Woods.

When you are visiting the Five Rise Locks, the easiest place to park is in the town. There are a number of pay and display car parks in the town to choose from. We have used both Main Street Car Park (BD16 2JJ) and Waterloo Road Car Park (BD16 2NB) which are both just a short walk away.
