Are Sol Duc hot springs open right now?
Sol Duc Campground is now open. Located along the Sol Duc River, Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground is on the “edge of the backcountry in the heart of the Olympic National Park” with hot spring pools and access to many hiking trails.
Is Sol Duc Falls an easy hike?
The hike to the falls is a short and easy one. From the roadside Sol Duc trailhead, the walk through an old-growth forest to the falls overlook is just under a mile (1.6 miles round trip.) It’s a mostly level trail with boardwalks and an occasional handrail fence making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
Is the Hoh Visitor Center open?
The visitor center is open daily during the summer, closed January through early March, and generally open Friday through Sunday during the spring and fall seasons (hours may vary according to season).
Can you swim in the Sol Duc hot springs?

Is Sol Duc worth visiting?
We really enjoy Sol Duc Falls and the other sites of the area. Even though it may not be the most well known of spots in Olympic National Park, it’s really worth the visit and makes for a great weekend visit or day trip. The hiking alone is worth it and the whole family will enjoy it!

When should I go to the Hoh Rain Forest?
The best time of year for sightseeing in Olympic National Park is spring through fall. This time of year is ideal because the rainforests can experience up to 50 inches of rain in the winter, and by late spring, the landscape is lush and vibrant with life.
Can you drive through the Hoh Rain Forest?
Yes. Once you enter Olympic National Park, you can drive along Upper Hoh Road, where you will be driving through the Hoh Rain Forest. The best thing to do, though, is to leave the vehicle and hike the short Hall of Mosses trail.

Can you swim in Sol Duc River?
Sol Duc Hot Springs has three soaking pools and one freshwater pool. The soaking pools range from 99 degrees to 104. The soaking pools are naturally formed by spring water from rain and snow melt seeping through cracks in rocks where it merges with gasses from cooling volcanic rocks.
