Is Thrustmaster going to make a DD wheel?
In August of 2021, Thrustmaster published a 2021 product roadmap, listing a number of new products that were in the pipeline. Interestingly, the roadmap also listed a Direct Drive wheel for the PC, therefore, officially confirming that Thrustmaster would make the jump to Direct Drive technology.
Is a DD wheel worth it?
If realism is your ultimate goal, then direct drive wheels are definitely worth the money. However, if you are quite happy with a decent level of force feedback but much easier playability, then your money may be better spent on a high-end belt-driven steering wheel.

How long do direct drive wheels last?
The absolute minimum you should expect from a wheel is 3 years of use before you need to replace it. This lifespan can be lengthened or shortened by a few different things because everybody is different, after all.
Is Simagic good?
I found it did an overall good job and was able to adapt to these different situations. It has plenty of speed and no noticeable latency. Which is a must to be able to keep your car under control when pushing the limits of grip. Overall, I think Simagic has come up with a professional level DD FFB solution here.

Is Logitech G923 direct drive?
As mentioned above, the new Logitech G923 uses gear-driven force feedback. This is a shame, as many sim racers, including ourselves, were hoping for a direct drive wheel from Logitech. In fact, when Logitech announced that they were releasing a new racing wheel.
