What is Housecall program?
UnitedHealthcare® HouseCalls — our yearly in-home health and wellness service — is a health plan feature for Medicare and Medicaid members, offered at no additional cost to you. It’s a way to help our members stay on top of their health between regular doctor visits.

Does United Healthcare cover caregivers?

I believe United Healthcare HouseCalls representatives could help themselves if they would educate people about the program when they enroll in an Advantage Plan. HouseCalls is an in-home health and wellness program is available for members enrolled in select Medicare Advantage Plans.
Does United healthcare call for home health visits?
United Healthcare does not take no for an answer when it comes to the Home Health Visit. I’ve told them over and over that I do not want this service and they continue to call. I see my PCP when needed, go for my annual checkups, get flu shots, etc. I don’t answer the phone anymore when caller I.D. shows United Healthcare is calling.
Does UHC pay for the care of the visited patient?
Its nice that the visited patient stays healthy, but UHC’s incentive is to not pay that person’s huge hospital and nursing home bills if they neglect themselves.

I have looked around the Internet searching for United Healthcare House Calls. The Nurse Practitioners are paid about $40 per hour, plus a mileage fee, with the idea that the trip and examination will total 2 hours. The latest figure I could find from 2016 was that UHC sends a bill to Medicare for $700 to do the home visit.
