What is Pristiq (Pristiq)?
It’s often called clinical depression, or simply depression. Pristiq belongs to a class of antidepressants called serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). A class of drugs is a group of medications that work in a similar way. SNRIs increase the level of two chemicals (serotonin and norepinephrine) in your brain.

Ask your doctor about taking Pristiq if you are pregnant. Taking an SNRI antidepressant during late pregnancy could increase your risk of excessive bleeding just after you give birth, and may cause serious medical complications in the baby. However, you may have a relapse of depression if you stop taking your antidepressant.
