The entrance gates to the west side parking areas at Kaena Point State Park on Oahu will reopen this weekend after being closed for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials announced today.

Do you need a permit for Kaena Point?
The permit is required for all vehicles accessing that portion of Kaʻena Point State Park Reserve, Mokulēʻia, located beyond the paved road. A map of this area is included with each permit issued. The permit and permit conditions, including possession of permissible gear, only apply to this area.
